Dan’s Blog: Round 3, Donington

 In News

Hi everyone,

Friday was a frustrating day, mechanicals in both free practices meant hardly any laps. Fortunately I got at least 8 laps so I was able to pick some things up ready for Saturday.

In all honesty Saturday didn’t go to plan either, I was unable to do more than 10 laps through the day due to mechanicals and a crash. It was hard to keep our heads up and look at the positives, but it was all we could do! The team worked very hard in putting the issues right, it meant we were ready for Sundays feature races.

Race one on the Sunday was positive, I treated it like a practice. I needed to finish and do laps, gather information for the second race on the Sunday. I crossed the line in P19, which was a joint best result for the season.

Race two was incredibly positive, running in the group for P12! The bike was superb, a lot easier to ride compared to the first race. I was able to cross the line in P16, just missing out on my first points of the season.

Overall Sunday was very positive, we showed signs of what is achievable. It would have been nice to gather all the information through practice, but there’s nothing I could about it. I’m proud of me and my team for not giving in, we faced a challenge and conquered it!

Next up is Knockhill, a challenging but very enjoyable circuit.

Thanks again for the support,

DJ
