Dan’s blog – Oulton and Donington

 In News

Hello everyone,

Since my last update after Cadwell Park, I’ve had a busy couple of weeks. Here’s what I’ve been up to:

First of all I had round six of the British Moto3 Championship at Oulton Park. I was looking for a better weekend then the first time we came to Oulton Park.

I’m pleased with how the weekend went, taking pole position and winning race one by almost ten seconds. The Sunday was a disaster, I made a mistake in warm up which caused a chaotic day.

After the Oulton Park round, I had the next round of the British Moto3 Championship. This time going across seas to Assen, in the Netherlands.

Assen is a track I know well from my days in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. I used this experience well, taking pole position, a race win and a 4th.

I felt I rode well and was confident I could carry this form on in to the penultimate round at Donington.

Unfortunately Donington was a weekend to forget, I was unable to get in to my rhythm through out the weekend. Difficult conditions meant we missed free practice two, this caused us to be behind in our set up.

In Sunday’s race I had quite a big crash. I sustained concussion and have taken my nail clean off. I’d like to thank Shark Helmets, Furygan and TCX Boots for protecting me.

I’d also like to thank Team City Lifting/RS Racing for the continued help and support. As well as all of my personal sponsors.

Next up is the final round at Brands Hatch, fingers crossed I’ll be fully fit!

See you all soon,

Dan
